Obituary

William Paul Forst, 72, died at his home on August 10,2023.

Bill was born on April 23, 1951, in Niskayuna, NY to Fredricka Boppert Forst and Herbert C. Forst (Martha Talbot).

He was predeceased by his parents, stepmother, and his twin brother Dean Forst.

Bill is survived by his sons Matthew W. Forst, Jason T. Forst, and his grandson Gilbert Dahlie-Forst. His sister Sharon Forst, stepbrothers Martin Talbot and Harold Talbot, his life-long friend John Kehl, his ex-wife Andrea Forst, and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him.

Bill graduated from Scotia-Glenville High School in 1970 and from the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California in 1973. During his career, he worked for E. Forst Barber Supply. He also worked as a camera operator for WRGB, WMHT and the New York State Lottery. He was a member of NABET.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Bill's name to WMHT or the Animal Protective Foundation.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday August 15, 2023, from 6 PM- 8 PM at the Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home (1 Mohawk Avenue, Scotia, NY).
