Walter M Morse

Walter W. Morse, 86, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Ellis Hospital.

Walter was born on October 18, 1937, in Schenectady, the son of the late Walter B. and Olive (Renaud) Morse. He served in the US Air Force from 1955-1957. Walter was a member of the Capital District Rambling Mohawk Holiday Rambler RV Club, the NRA, the Guan-Ho-Ha Fish & Game Club, a charter member of the Mill Mountain Hunting Club and a charter member of the Scotia-Glenville BPOE Lodge #2759. Walter worked as a mail carrier until retiring.

He was pre-deceased by his wife Joan (Miller) Morse and his daughter Lorraine Helwig.

Walter is survived by a son Kenneth Morse; a sister Crystal Goins and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning at the Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home, Inc, 1 Mohawk Avenue, Scotia.

Interment will be in West Charlton Cemetery, Charlton, NY.

The funeral home will be open at 9 a.m. prior to the services for those who wish to call.
