Walter F. Causey Jr., 92 died Saturday Sept 4, 2021. Born in Jersey City, NJ on July 9, 1929.
He was the son of the late Walter and Mae (Spahr) Causey and raised in Mt. Kisco, NY.
He graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School and Union College where he was an outstanding lacrosse player. He worked as a principal Economist for the former N.Y.S. Commerce Dept. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Walter served in the U.S.A. Navy aboard the USS Charles Ware from 1950 to 1954.
He was predeceased by his brothers Richard (Coach) Causey, Arthur Causey, and nephew Arthur Causey.
Walter’s favorite sport was on the ski slopes as a downhill racer, winning many medals. He was an avid fan of Union College hockey team.
He is survived by his wife June Simmons Causey, daughter Catherine Di Gioia, and granddaughters Stephanie and Cassandra, brother-in-law Harvey D. Simmons, sisters in law Linda Bullard, Marilyn Causey, nephews Chris Causey, Matthew Causey, Rick Causey, Robert Causey, David (Suzi) Simmons, nieces Elizabeth Causey, Nancy Fountain, Judith Deems, several cousins, grandnephews, and grandnieces.
Interment was at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery with military honors.
