Thomas J. Relyea Jr., lifelong resident of Glenville, NY, passed away suddenly on October 31, 2021 at the age of 38.
He loved his family beyond description and will be deeply missed in return.
Tommy is survived by his loving parents, Thomas and Joyce Relyea (Stupplebeen); his cherished brother, Craig (Lisa) Relyea; his beloved nephews, Samuel and Arthur; his cat, Scrambles; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, Gerald and Dolores Relyea, and Leverett and Christine Stupplebeen.
He was born on May 11, 1983. He graduated from Scotia-Glenville High School in 2001.
An avid racing enthusiast and Mets fan, he loved attending and watching sporting events with his friends and family. Tommy enjoyed online racing with his cousin, Scott, and commentating on the races and games in real time. He enjoyed listening to his brother's music and is remembered by him for the many concerts, parties, and races over the years. Tommy's first car was a red 1972 Volkswagen Beetle, and he would pile in his friends on the way to school and galivanting around Scotia. His 1997 red Ford Mustang was a passion of his and never lost a race – sorry cops. Before medical complications that surfaced in recent years, he was a proud Teamster at UPS in Latham. His dry wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed.
