Thomas W. Butt, 82, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Ellis Hospital with his loving family around him, after a long illness.
Born in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late William and Kathryn Butt.
He graduated in 1961 from Schoharie High School.
After high school from 1961 to 1967 Thomas served in the United States Army.
Before retirement Thomas was employed with Hamilton Printing Co. in East Greenbush.
Thomas had a love for cars especially Pontiacs, enjoyed building model cars and trains, fishing, dining out, long rides and doing crossword puzzles.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, MaryAnn (Emerick) Butt, and their two children, Patricia (William) Nealon of Mayfield, Thomas (Tracy) Butt of Perth. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Matthew Riccio, Kayla Riccio (Ryan) , Marki Drobish, and one sister Diana Gillig of Maryland, and several nieces and nephews and predeceased by his sister Barbara Mead.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Bekkering Funeral Home, 1 Mohawk Ave., Scotia, NY, on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
