Susan A (Schaeffer) Macfee

Susan A. Schaeffer Macfee, 59, of Glenville, NY entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 24th, 2017, with her family by her side.

She was born to the late Claude Schaeffer and Mary Maimone Fuller of Vero Beach, FL on November 25, 1957, in Schenectady, NY. After attending grade school in Rotterdam, Sue graduated from Scotia-Glenville High School in 1975 and received her associates degree from Spencer Business Institute.

In 1987 she married the love of her life, Wayne, and in 1992 they were blessed with their son, Mark. "Sue City Sue", as her brother affectionately called her, genuinely enjoyed helping others, as was reflected in her various occupations at Winn-Dixie, Glendale Home, Notra Dame Bishop Gibbons, K-Mart Customer Service and Anaconda Sports. She truly enjoyed her life through simple pleasures; shopping, lunch with friends, chatting on the phone, visting casinos and spending time with her family in Lake George.

Along with her husband, Wayne; son, Mark; and her pooch, "Bella"; Sue is survived by her Mom and sidekick, Mary Fuller; stepdaughters, Wendy (Mike) Urban and April (Heath) Hall; stepgrandsons, Mike and Dylan; stepgrandaughter, Kelli; brothers, Claude (Patricia) Schaeffer, Charlie (Kathy) Schaeffer, Thomas (Tammy) Schaeffer, Stephen and Theodore Schaeffer; nephews, Chris Schaeffer, Charlie (Ilana) Schaeffer, Mike (Jessica) Schaeffer, Tom Schaeffer, Nathan and Evyn Schaeffer; nieces, Stephanie and Nicole Schaeffer, Kerri (Matt) Collis, Laura (Ed) Ash, Krystal (Rick) Vaughn, Kourtnie (Ken) Ahlers and Merisa Schaeffer; great nieces and nephews, Kayla, Ricky, Kady, Tyson, Annmarie, Natalie and Jack.

The family would like to thank all the nurses at Ellis Hosptial for their kindness and support. A very special thank you to Dr. Peter Cospito for his effort, compassion, dedication and friendship.

Calling hours will be held Monday, February 27 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home, Inc., 1 Mohawk Ave., Scotia, NY 12302.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 28 at 11:30 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a 12 Noon Mass at St. Jospeh's Church, Scotia, NY.

Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie, NY.
