Susan Lynne Hammill

Susan Lynne Hammill, 66, of Niskayuna passed away suddenly on June 11th, 2021.

Born June 10th, 1955 in Geneva, NY to Leo W Hammill Jr., and Patricia Cullen (nee Arnold).

She was a loving mother to Michael (Melissa) Butrym, Echo (David) Morris and Arlea (Joshua) Henkle. Beloved sister of Leo Hammill III, Larry Swearingen, Lea Steele, Denise Hammill, Stephanie Sherwood, Heather Cullen-Radder, Yvette Hammill, John Cullen, Margrit "Peggy" Flynn and the late David Hammill, Shawn Cullen, Paul Cullen and Kathleen Lynch. Adoring grandmother of Alyssa, Jennikah, Jonah, Madison, Avery, Jasmine and Aurora. And proud great-grandmother to Ryder. Also survived by her best friend and partner in crime Linda "Twiggy" Mason, as well as many Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Susan was a great friend to everyone she knew, always ready to help anyone who needed it even if she went without.

In 2018 she retired from the VNA with 20 years of service. She cared for and loved her patients as if they were her own family.

Memorial service will be held Friday, June 18, 2021 4 to 6 p.m. at Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home, 1 Mohawk Ave. Scotia, NY 12302.
