After a courageous battle with cancer, Paul went peacefully to meet his Master on June 11, feast day of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Paul was born in Schenectady July 7, 1951 to Herbert J. Low and Allene M. Heaney.
He attended St. Luke's School and Bishop Gibbons in Schenectady, graduating from Scotia-Glenville HS in 1969. Paul completed basic training for the US Air Force at Lackland AFB, Texas. In 1976 he graduated from Lowry AFB, Colorado, being trained to load and inspect weapons for aircraft. He did a short tour in Korea and was assigned to the Plattsburgh AFB and Moody AFB, GA for duty with a unit of the Tactical Air Command.
He attended SCCC, majoring in hotel and food management and later worked as a construction worker with his family's company, building new homes. He resided in Rotterdam Jct. Paul had a great sense of humor, always enjoying making people laugh. He enjoyed camping, old war movies and cars, The Three Stooges, Buffalo Bills, Rolling Stones. He loved feeding his chipmunks and birds (darn those squirrels) and was a devoted fan of Rush Limbaugh and EWTN.
Paul is survived by his mother, his sister Rose Marie Ashline (Walter), nephew Timothy Steele (Kara) 3 grand-nephews and one grand-niece,
Calling hours at 10 to 11 with a service following, will be on Tuesday at Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home, 1 Mohawk Ave., Scotia. Interment at St. Mary's, Fort Johnson.
