Patricia "Patty" (Beck) McConnelee

Patricia (Patty Beck) McConnelee, 71, peacefully passed away Thursday morning, January 14, 2016. Patty was born to William and Mary Beck on September 1, 1944. She graduated from Scotia-Glenville High School, Class of 1962, and earned an Associates Degree from Albany Business College for bookkeeping. Patty met her husband, Bruce McConnelee, at the beginning of her employment at Albany Ladder, now known as NES Rentals. Bruce and Pat just shared their 47 wedding anniversary on December 28, 2015. Patty was a member of The First Reformed Church of Scotia, was involved in Mohawk School Parent Teacher Association, as well as serving a term on The Scotia-Glenville Board of Education; one of the years, serving as the Board's President. She has been a lifelong Scotia resident, and for the past 18 years also enjoyed their beloved home on Canada Lake. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Chad McConnelee (Lorijo) of Schenectady; and her daughter, Colleen Benedetto (Ken) of Scotia; her grandchildren, Gabriella, Ally and Nick Benedetto and Zoey and Simone McConnelee; and great-granddaughter, Andy Benedetto; a brother, Ron Beck (Carol Sullivan); and many cherished friends and family. Calling hours will be held at Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home, 1 Mohawk Ave., Scotia, NY on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Ford from Ellis Medicine and Nurse Barb from Hospice, as well as the countless others that have touched Patty's life.
