Norman J. Truax, 67, died Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital in Albany, NY.
Norman was born October 6, 1954 to the late Donald O. and Mary Agnes (Toomey) Truax and was a lifetime resident of the Scotia area. He was a graduate of the Scotia-Glenville High School.
Norman was a school bus driver for the Brown Transportation in Scotia for many years. He was a member of the Guan-Ho-Ha Fish and Game Club in Glenville, NY. He enjoyed archery, hunting and fishing.
Norman is survived by his wife Tina (Harrington) Truax, a daughter Elizabeth Harrington and his brother Wayne G. Truax as well as several nieces and nephews.
Norman was predeceased by his brothers Shane B. Truax, Ronald Truax and his sister Sandra K. Ives.
Funeral services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held 6:00 PM Sunday evening at the Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home, Inc. 1 Mohawk Avenue, Scotia, NY. The funeral home will be open two hours prior to the funeral service from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM for those who wish to call.
A graveside committal service will be held 9:30 AM at the Maple Shade Cemetery, Vley Road, Scotia, NY.
