Nancy Marie Hogan Falace, 68, of Washington, formerly of Scotia, New York, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Donnell House, Washington.
She was born October 25, 1955, in Schenectady, New York, a daughter of the late Carl E. Hogan and Ruth W. Clothier.
Nancy attended Scotia-Glenville High School in New York.
She was Lutheran by faith. She was a volunteer for the Lutheran Braille Workers, where she helped prepare braille books.
Nancy was a homemaker, who loved gardening, cooking and baking her special cookies. She loved taking care of children, volunteering for her children’s school’s Parent Teacher Association, and spending time with her grandchildren.
In 1979, she married Jeffrey A. Falace Sr., who survives.
Surviving are two daughters, Nicole (Josh Silvis) Falace-Silvis and Heather (Stephen) Giorgianni; two stepsons, Robert Falace and Jeffrey Falace Jr.; two grandchildren, Cody and Mica Silvis; a sister, Carol (Paul) Minehardt; four brothers, Richard Hogan, Donald (Louise) Hogan, James Hogan and John (Elaine) Hogan; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home, inc., 1 Mohawk Avenue, Scotia, NY 12302. Services on Friday, October 18, 2024, 10:00am at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lustgarten Foundation for pancreatic cancer research, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Special Olympics New York.
