Mila Joy Beedleson, born on September 18, 1931, in Rover, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home on February 4, 2026, at the age of 94, her loving family by her side.
Joy dedicated over two decades of her life to General Electric Company before retiring. She was the daughter of Marion and Lenora Hunt. Mila, affectionately known as Joy to most, was predeceased by her loving husband, George Stephen Beedleson; her parents, Marion and Lenora Hunt; and three beloved brothers and three sisters.
Joy is survived by three brothers: Monroe (Levada), Billy (Sue), and Raymond Hunt -Gloria, all of whom reside in Arkansas. Her son, Robert Beedleson -Lisa, resides in Schenectady, and her daughter, Norene Pierson -Frank, reside in Galway with her two grandsons, Jeremy and Casey Pierson.
Joy is also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Joy will remember her deep love for nature. Hummingbirds were her favorite, while flowers held a special place in her life. Her appreciation and respect for Mother Nature brought beauty, happiness, and grace to everyone around her.
