Mary (Vanderwalker) Stuart

Mary E. (Vanderwalker) Stuart, 89, of Glenville, passed away at home on Friday, March 19, 2021 after a short illness.

Mary was born on January 26, 1932 in Schroon Lake, New York, the daughter of the late Lee and Muriel (Fiske) Vanderwalker.

She was a graduate of Schroon Lake High School (Class of 1949) and Albany Business College. She was an executive secretary at the State University Construction Fund.

Mary married Robert A. Stuart of Scotia on November 28, 1964 and resided in Glenville ever since, where she raised her family. She was a devoted and proud wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her husband, Robert, Mary is survived by her son Gary (Nicole) Stuart of Scotia, son Jeff (Amy) Stuart of Malta, grandchildren Andrew, Alison, Jenna, Natalie, and Aaron, sister Betty Williford of Melbourne, FL, sister Jean LaCrosse of Altamont, several nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends.

In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her brother, Richard Vanderwalker.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at 1 pm at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
