September 11, 1929 – July 17, 2017 Lyall P. MacFee Sr., formerly of Scotia, NY, passed away peacefully at Cornerstone Hospice with his wife Iris by his side.
Lyall was born in Charlton, NY and graduated from Scotia High School in 1949. Lyall served in the Army during the Korean War. He then joined the New York State Air National Guard in Scotia, NY where he worked for 31 years. He retired in 1984 as a Master Sergeant.
Lyall and Iris moved to Florida in 1988. Lyall was predeceased by his first wife of 24 years, Grace Becker MacFee; his father, William MacFee. His mother, Emma McMurtry MacFee; four brothers, Thomas, Vernon, Eldon and Ralph (Scotty) MacFee; four sisters, Evedna MacFee Buchanan, Hilda MacFee Schufelt, Mildred MacFee Gardiner and Marilyn MacFee Dzwaltkowski.
Lyall is survived by his wife of 30 years, Iris Hoffman MacFee; two daughters, Phyllis MacFee Cranston (Mike) and Terry MacFee (Cindy); his son, Lyall MacFee, Jr. (Tim); and his stepdaughter, Lisa Coleman Teller (Ed). Six grandchildren, Christal Wheeler Cleland (Michael), Keith Wheeler, Skylar Wheeler, Patrick Teller, Liam Teller and Ryan Teller; brother, Theron (Stewart) MacFee and sister, Emiline MacFee Clapper; along with many nieces and nephews.
Lyall will be interred at the West Glenville Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 6 p.m. at Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home, 1 Mohawk Ave., Scotia, NY.
