Obituary

On Tuesday, January 31st, Karen L. Korowajczyk of Glenville, NY, a beloved wife and amazing mother, passed away at sixty-seven. Karen worked for The NYS Lottery before taking a break to raise her children. Then returned to The NYS DMV until retirement. A dedicated mother to her two boys, Karen truly loved her family life. She loved animals, especially her Siamese named Kitty. Karen had a strong sense of faith. An avid tole painter, she loved her crafts. She loved spending time with her friends and family.

Karen loved her time with her husband Joe. From drives in the country to overnight trips at their secret hideaway In Saratoga. Boat trips to vacations. Experiencing big life moments together and making the little ones just sitting on the couch together late night. They were in love. As a mother she woke up everyday worried about how she was going to entertain her two boys Joey and Michael. She enjoyed planning birthday parties, driving the boys to practices and games then cheering them on. Her family was the center of her universe, she will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband Joseph Korowajczyk Sr. and her two boys Joseph (Margo) Korowajczyk Jr and Michael Korowajczyk. A memorial will be held Sunday, February 5th, 3 p.m. at Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home. 1 Mohawk Ave. Scotia, NY 12302. Funeral will be Monday, February 6th, 10 Am at Sts. Cyril and Method Cemetery. 611 Duanesburg Road, Rotterdam, NY 12306.
