John "Jack" Patrick Payette

John "Jack" Patrick Payette Scotia - John Patrick "Jack" Payette, 84, passed away on July 1, 2024. Born on March 17, 1940, in Schenectady, Jack was a lifelong resident and a pillar of his community.

Jack proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from July 22, 1958, to July 21, 1964. His time in the Corps was marked by dedication and a steadfast commitment to his fellow Marines and the values of the service.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Virginia Payette; his sons, Edward Payette and his life partner Laura Doerr, and Michael Payette; his daughter, Jeannette Payette-Kuschel and her husband John Kuschel; and his grandchildren, John Payette, Thomas Payette, and Olivia Payette-Kuschel.

Jack's passing is deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Memorial services will be held on July 9th at Bekkering-Ellis, 1 Mohawk Ave, Scotia, NY 12302. Viewing will take place from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Following the viewing, attendees will proceed to Saratoga National Cemetery for the interment. Jack's family invites friends and community members to join them in celebrating his life and honoring his service.
