Obituary

Jan Warner, 79, of Scotia, New York, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Marjorie.  He also leaves behind his daughters Jackie and Nancy, stepdaughters Daniele, Christa and Kim and his brother Richard.  He was blessed with five grandchildren.

After attending Burnt Hills Ballston Lake High School he began his 46 year career at Roland J Down Inc.  He also dedicated many years of service as a volunteer at East Glenville Fire Department and Mohawk Ambulance Service.  He was a member of the Scotia-Glenville Elks Lodge 2759 since 2008.

Jan and Marge, along with their rescue miniature pinschers, enjoyed trips to Florida every winter in their motorhome.  Summers at their camp on Ballston Lake with family and friends were near and dear to his heart.  His sense of humor kept those closest to him laughing in good times and bad.  He especially enjoyed demolishing and rebuilding houses and his ingenious mind could create or fix just about anything.

In remembrance of Jan’s life his family asks that all charitable donations be made to Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Avenue, Glenville, NY 12302.

A memorial to celebrate his life is planned for this summer on Ballston Lake.
