It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved son Gavin Goyette Roylance. Gavin passed away on July 12, 2023 at the age of 19.
He was born in Niskayuna on May 28, 2004 and lived with his family in Scotia and attended Scotia-Glenville schools.
His favorite place was camp, spending summers with his family on the Great Sacandaga Lake. He enjoyed swimming, kayaking and playing in the cove with his sister and cousins when they were younger. He was kindhearted, intelligent and loving. He was precious to all of us who loved him. We will miss Gavin dearly, but are grateful for the time we had to spend with him.
Gavin is survived by his parents Jesse and Danielle (Goyette) Roylance and his adoring sister Emma Roylance; his grand parents Skip and Brenda Goyette; Douglas and Ladon Roylance. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles; Aaron and Andrea (Goyette) Suggs, Jonathan Goyette (Kristina), Jim and Jennifer Burkart, and Amy Goyette. He will be missed by his cousins Lauren and Megan Goyette, Marcus and Alexander Suggs, James and Joshua Burkart. He also leaves behind a large extended family, close friends and his dog Oreo.
Friends and Family are invited to calling hours from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home located at 1 Mohawk Avenue in Scotia, NY.
Funeral services for family and close friends will be held at 11 a.m. on July 19, 2023 at Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home.
