Edmund C Myers

Edmund C. Myers of Scotia, NY, born April 17, 1945, died unexpectedly on March 4, 2023.

Edmund was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Genevieve and brother David. He is survived by his wife, Marlene, three children, Craig (wife Diana), Christine, Kevin and five grandchildren (Nicholas, Clarissa (husband Max), Julie, Mercedes and Zachery (fiancé Kaitlyn) and one great grandchild (Emmett).

Ed was a graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School and shortly after graduating began working at the Village of Scotia Water Department where he retired from after 37 years of service.

Ed also enjoyed his time as a fire fighter and became a life member of the Beukendaal Fire Department. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and years of working the farm along with all the friendships made along the way. Anyone who knew him also knew he was an avid Mets and Giants fan and enjoyed spending some of his summer days at Saratoga Racetrack. After retiring from both the Water Department and the farm, those friendships resonated with him for many years to come.

Ed was a strong, kind, loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His support, love and guidance were the foundation of our family.

Ed’s family would like to thank the Albany Medical ICU/Trauma teams for all the care, compassion and kindness they provided to him during his last days that brought him much comfort.

Friday, March 10th, you may pay your respects at Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home, 1 Mohawk Avenue, Scotia, NY 12302 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Beukendaal Fire Department, 501 Sacandaga Road, Scotia, NY 12302 in honor of Edmund C. Myers.
