After a courageous battle with Covid19, Donlyn passed away on January 5, 2021. Donlyn was 52 years old.
Donlyn was the beloved daughter of Donald DeAngelo and Marilyn Curcio DeAngelo. She was the loving sissy to Dean Thomas DeAngelo. Donlyn was born on April 24, 1968.
She was a 1986 graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School, and was a spirited cheerleader. Donlyn was employed by Dukes Chophouse at Rivers Casino. She loved working there and enjoyed greeting her many customers. She will be missed by them and her numerous co-workers. Donlyn was a talented artist. She loved music; she loved fashion, especially jewelry, shoes and vintage hats; she enjoyed antiquing, flea markets, thrifting; she was an accomplished bargain hunter.
Family and friends were very important to her. She had a heart of gold, spoiling her mom and brother at every opportunity. She loved to cook and bake and always shared her delicious meals. She was known to carry a "care package" or two for her adored family members and friends.
She cherished her many friends and appreciated all their prayers and kind deeds during her illness. A special thank you to all her doctors and nurses at Ellis Hospital (C-5, C-6, plus 1st Floor ICU.)
Donlyn was pre-deceased by her DAD, her Godfather Thomas Curcio, her Aunt Marguerite Curcio, and her grandparents. Her Uncles Tom DeAngelo and George Politano.
She is survived by her shopping companion and heartbroken MOM, Marilyn, her loving and sad brother, Dean, her devoted Godmother Lynn Dennebaum and her Uncle Jim Curcio. In addition, her Aunt Penny Curcio, cousins Jennifer, Heather, Laura and, Jimmy, Charlie (Sarah), Joey, Jackie and Caroline (KC) and their children Ella, Mia, Lyla, Henry and James, Debbie Valek, Justin and Jenny. Donlyn loved all animals.
