Dan H Loucks

Dan H. Loucks, 67, of Schoharie, passed away Tuesday, July 18th, 2017 surrounded by his family.

He was born in Schenectady and was the son of the late Howard W. Loucks and Martha G. Bekkering.

He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School. He worked as a carpenter at General Electric for 37 years and was a member of the Local 301 before retiring in 2005. He is survived by his loving wife, Joni Girard-Loucks of Schoharie; his two sons, Matthew (Kaitlyn) Loucks of Schenectady, Dan H Loucks II (Amy) of Charlton; his daughter, Grace (Mike) Mosall of Rotterdam; and his brother, Bruce (Arlene) Loucks of Rotterdam. Also survived by four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Howard W. (Beverly) Loucks of Ravena and Charles E. (Judy) Loucks of West Palm Beach, Florida.

Relatives and friends are invited to join us in celebrating the life of Dan on Monday, July 24, 2017. The funeral home will be open 9 a.m. with the service beginning at 11 a.m. at Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home located at 1 Mohawk Avenue, Scotia NY. Interment at Schenectady Memorial Park on Giffords-Church Road, Schenectady, NY.
