Cynthia (Supley) DaMassa (88) passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023.
She was born in Schenectady on July 20, 1935. She lived is Scotia for most of her life. She was a resident at Collar City Nursing and Rehabilitation, Troy, at the time of her passing.
She was a PTA member, homeroom mother, and Girl Scout leader. She attended sport events, and sewed costumes for drama club productions at Scotia-Glenville High School in the 70s. She took on many employment opportunities – Carl. Co., Filene's, Macy's, Campbell Plastics, Walmart, Target, and Schalmont School Transportation. She loved to show her talent by baking wedding cakes, creating ceramic pieces, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and cooking delicious meals. She enjoyed walking in Scotia in recent years to Stewart's for coffee and to music concerts at Freedom Park.
She is survived by her daughters, Theresa (Steve MacKenzie), and Cynthia (Tony) Dorazio. Grandchildren, Ann (David) Horning, Thomas (Brittany) Dorazio. Great Grandchildren Jackson Dorazio and David Suski Horning. Also survived by her sister Lois (Doug) DeKalb, several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Prosper and Cynthia Supley; siblings, Walter, Paul, Robert, Roland, and Marie.
Arrangements are trusted to Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home, 1 Mohawk Avenue, Scotia. Family and friends are invited to attend Saturday, October 28 at 9:00 a.m.
Service will be at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment at Park Cemetery, Sacandaga Road, Scotia
