Sadly, Chris passed away suddenly Sunday May 24, 2026 at his home with his loving wife Ellen, by his side.


Chris was born and raised in Scotia, The son on the late Daryl and Myrna (Heliker) Addington.


Chris graduated from Scotia Glenville High School Class of 1983.


Beginning his career in the automotive industry holding several jobs in the field.  At his job at Albany Park n Fly he met the love of his life Ellen (Klingbeil) Addington.


During his career at Clemon’s Gas Station, one night he drove his brother (Kevin’s) car thru the front door of Dairy Circus.


Together they started their business C EZ Keys, where they were always together helping people in need.


His wit, humor and love will be missed by all especially his daughters Codie (Travis), Kaci (Nick), brothers, Kevin (Doreen) and David (Peggy), Step-daughters Rosie (Mike), Becky (Todd) and Amy (Jess).


Survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and very dear and lifelong friends too numerous to mention.


The family would like to express their gratitude to Cranesville Fire Dept, Lake Valley EMS, NY State Troppers and Montgomery County Sheriff Office for doing everything in their power to save him.


In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
