Charlene M Petricca

Charlene M. Petricca, 74, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Albany Medical Center, after a short illness, surrounded by family.

She was born on September 9, 1943 in Schenectady, NY to the late William and Alberta (Godbout) Eckerson.

She graduated from Scotia-Glenville High School, class of 1961 and was a lifetime resident of Glenville, NY. She worked for the Town of Glenville (1978-2004), Secretary (1978-1999), and Code Enforcement Officer (2000-2004).Charlene was a lifetime member of the Thomas Corners Ladies Auxiliary and a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Scotia, NY.

She loved traveling to Maine with her family. She was a devoted friend to high school classmates “The Wine Girls”. She married Norman Petricca on February 3, 1962 at St. Joseph's Church, Scotia, NY.

She is survived by her husband, Norman Petricca; son, Greg Petricca (Terri); daughters, Robin Farmer (Paul) and Denise Chotkowski (Steven); sister, Alberta Clemons; brother, the late John Eckerson; grandchildren, Christopher Chotkowski, Anthony Chotkowski, Lisa Schimpf, and Amy Fogg (Eric); and five great-grandchildren.

A Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, Scotia on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home, Inc., 1 Mohawk Ave., Scotia, NY 12302.

Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Scotia, NY, at a later date.
