Bryant J Bickford

On Friday November 16, 2018, Bryant J. Bickford, loving husband and father of two beautiful girls, passed away suddenly at the age of 32.

Bryant was born May 20th, 1986, in Newport, Vermont to Pamela Mason.

At the age of five, Bryant and Pam moved to Berne, New York, where she married Stephen Porter. Together they raised Bryant, where he went on to finish high school at Berne-Knox-Westerlo, graduating in 2004. After graduating, Bryant joined the workforce and moved himself to Scotia, New York. In July of 2007, he met the love of his life, Sarah Leffler, and the two wed on November 11, 2017. Together they raised Madison and Hayleigh.

Bryant loved his family, his friends, his work and numerous other activities including, snowmobiling, fishing and being outdoors. He was known for his strong work ethic, boisterous personality, and a fierce loyalty to his family and friends. He was considered by many as "one bad ass dude."

Bryant was preceded in death by his grandfather "Papa Joe"; and grandmothers, Shirley Gilfillan and Donna Porter.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Bickford; his two daughters, Madison and Hayleigh; his father and mother, Stephen Porter and Pamela Porter (Mason); his sister, Ashley Porter; and his aunt, Marcia Bickford; along with numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be held on Tuesday, November 20th, beginning at 7 p.m. at Bekkering Ellis Funeral Home, located at 1 Mohawk Ave., Scotia, New York 12302, followed by a funeral on Wednesday, November 21st at 11 a.m. at the same location.
